Airborne Flight Reporting Sys. 1.5.2

The Airborne Flight Reporting System™ (AFRS™) family of products was developed by experienced pilots and aerospace engineers to provide a cost-effective solution for flight data monitoring, management, flight operational quality assurance (FOQA), and air-ground communications. This system aims to enhance operational safety by reducing crew workload while improving situational awareness, interoperability, and the development of a unified operational picture.

This application offers comprehensive flight status updates and in-flight situational awareness regarding aircraft performance, location, as well as the health and utilization of the aircraft, passengers, and cargo. Data is collected continuously via the app and can be transmitted to ground control either in real-time or post-flight, depending on cellular connectivity.

Operational personnel can utilize the AFRS mobile app to monitor unauthorized movements, estimate hours of service, assess flight performance metrics, track departures and arrivals, analyze ground speed, and other key parameters. Post-flight data reviews serve as valuable tools for training purposes, enabling evaluation of terminal airspace procedures such as pattern turns and wind correction angles.

The development of Airborne FRS™ was led by Kaydon Stanzione, a former flight test pilot and engineer with extensive flying experience across various aircraft types including hang gliders, ultralights, light sport aircraft (LSA), and military fixed- and rotary-wing platforms. Mr. Stanzione has authored over 100 publications on aviation and aerospace topics, including contributions to the Encyclopaedia Britannica on aerospace engineering. His innovations have been adopted across sectors such as military operations, transportation, healthcare, and energy industries.
